A Winning Combination: Experience and innovation.
They’re known for their groundbreaking in situ remediation solutions and thriving remediation work. In 1990, however, Bob Elliott and Scott Noland were an unlikely duo: a businessman without a science background and a chemical engineer without business experience. Through the years, the pair has managed to tackle the growing field of environmental remediation, identifying its limitations (expensive and ineffective long-term treatment) and developing a better solution through their revolutionary Trap and Treat® remediation products.
Bob and Scott gained years of experience in environmental laboratories and environmentally-oriented contracting groups, taking part in hundreds of injection-based remediation projects and gaining first-hand knowledge of the field’s many challenges. Frustrated by the unsustainable, dangerous, and ineffective route the industry had taken, the pair’s fiercely entrepreneurial spirit took over. The result? A remarkable breakthrough. In 2002, Scott Noland discovered a way to impregnate activated carbon with materials proven to assist in environmental remediation. After a series of remarkable laboratory tests, both men became convinced that their products both trapped contamination and treated it better than any other product they had experienced. Trap and Treat® and BOS 100® and 200® were born.
The evolution of Remediation Products, Inc. was swift: the company was formally founded in 2002 and by 2004, the company had registered trademarks and a U.S. Patent. Production capacity was quickly established with a major manufacturer of activated carbon products, and RPI formed lasting bonds with its Master and Authorized Installers. RPI has facilitated a remarkable number of NFAs, helping their customers completely clear up their soil and groundwater pollution, comply with regulations, and sell their property without liability, stress, or danger.
Bob Elliott: Chief Executive Officer

Scott Noland: President
A graduate from the Colorado School of Mines with a chemical engineering degree, Scott is a fierce entrepreneur whose career has focused on savings, efficacy, and innovation. His drive to find a better way led to the development of Remediation Products, Inc.’s revolutionary Trap and Treat® remediation approach. This expertise has not gone unnoticed: in 2001, he was selected by the prestigious Battelle Bioremediation Symposium to share his specialized knowledge and techniques with the scientific community. RPI isn’t Scott’s first brush with innovative thinking: over the past three decades, Scott has provided scientific solutions and research for companies such as DOW Chemical, Eastman Kodak, Englehardt Metals, Abbott Laboratories, Gates Rubber, and Hamilton Beach.
