Trap & Treat^® BOS 100^® for Chlorinated Contamination

Trap & Treat^® BOS 100^® consists of a specially prepared reactant that traps contaminants and treats them through a reductive dechlorination process. Until the advent of this new reactant, iron was the material most commonly used to induce reductive dechlorination. Although effective, iron is slow and causes a temporary rise in the concentrations of daughter products, potentially creating a greater health risk than originally existed. Our product’s great strength is that it readily traps toxic byproducts so little contamination, if any, escapes from the reactant matrix, thus protecting groundwater quality throughout the cleanup cycle.
