Trap & Treat® products are formulated to mix easily with water to form a slurry that can be injected into the subsurface using traditional direct push technology and a variety of pumping systems. RPI recommends pumps that can generate at least 350 to 500 psi downhole pressure.
While all Trap & Treat® products are non-toxic and relatively easy to clean off work surfaces, they will permanently soil clothing and cover the skin of those injecting the product with a fine black powder. For this reason, RPI recommends that our products be introduced into the slurry using a Venturi-type eductor and that personnel using and mixing the product wear dust masks and Tyvek® or similar apparel to protect skin and clothing from excess dirt.
Summary of suggested equipment:
  • Direct push rig (more...)
  • Pumping system (more...)
  • Venturi-type eductor and conical hopper (more...)
  • Water and mixing tanks (mixers) (more...)
  • Dust masks, Hearing Protection, Tyvek® suits, etc. (more...)
  • RPI has been present at all installations of their products to date, and has gained much invaluable experience about installation methods and procedures. The information provided below is our attempt to save our customers from having to “re-invent the wheel” when installing our products.
