COMPANY INFORMATION

Founded in 2002, Remediation Products Inc. is a leading supplier of in-situ remediation products in North America and beyond. The Golden, CO-based company’s trademarked products include Trap & Treat® BOS 100® for solvent remediation in soil and groundwater and Trap & Treat® BOS 200® for fuel-hydrocarbon remediation in soil and groundwater. Unlike its competitors, RPI’s products rapidly return contaminated properties to their intended use, saving money and leading 95 percent of Trap & Treat® customers to choose RPI products again and again.

Bob Elliott: Chief Executive Officer

A graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney, Bob Elliott holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and has over 34 years of business development expertise. For the past two decades, Bob has focused on innovative environmental technologies, gaining standing in the environmental community and participating in thousands of remediation projects. A pioneer in Direct Push Technology (DPT) drilling, Bob has seen many ideas born on his watch become standard practice in on-site investigations. In addition

to his work with Remediation Products, Inc., Bob has held market development positions with companies such as Capital Cities Communications and URS Corporation, one of the world’s largest environmental engineering firms.

Scott Noland: President

A Colorado School of Mines graduate with a chemical engineering degree, Scott is a fierce entrepreneur whose career has focused on savings, efficacy, and innovation. His drive to find a better way led to the development of Remediation Products, Inc.’s revolutionary Trap and Treat® remediation approach. This expertise has not gone unnoticed: in 2001, he was selected by the prestigious Battelle Bioremediation Symposium to share his specialized knowledge and techniques with the scientific community. RPI isn’t Scott’s first brush with innovative thinking: over the past three decades, Scott has provided scientific solutions and research for companies such as DOW Chemical, Eastman Kodak, Englehardt Metals, Abbott Laboratories, Gates Rubber, and Hamilton Beach.

PRODUCTS

Trap & Treat BOS 100®

Complete Remediation for Chlorinated Contamination

Frustrated by the lack of effective, safe remediation products on the market, RPI set out to create a chlorinated contamination product that lives up to its promise. The result: cutting-edge BOS 100®. Where traditional iron treatment of chlorinated solvent contamination in soil and groundwater is slow and risky, Trap & Treat BOS 100® achieves a faster and better result without further contaminating groundwater. No daughter products, no additional risk, no special safety controls or installed equipment required.

BOS 100® “traps” contaminants, then treats them with a safe, effective reductive dechlorination process. The specially formulated particles protect groundwater throughout the cleanup cycle, completely neutralizing chlorinated contamination in less time and at less expense. Effective for a variety of chlorinated solvents, BOS 100® reactant quickly brings properties up to regulatory standards and remains active in the subsurface for an extended period of time, with the added benefits of dramatically reduced liability and smaller costs.

Trap & Treat BOS 200®

Total Turnaround For Petroleum Hydrocarbon Contamination

RPI’s search for an effective, safe method of dealing with petroleum hydrocarbon pollution led to the development of a truly revolutionary product to trap contaminants and consume them. Cutting-edge BOS 200® doesn’t just promise to eliminate petroleum hydrocarbon contamination: it delivers.

Unlike many hydrocarbon remediation products, BOS 200® was designed to work in both aerobic and anaerobic environments. BOS 200® cuts through the contamination with a specially-formulated blend of activated carbon, sulfate reduction media, micronutrients, and facultative microbes. When the product is used, a proprietary mixture of naturally occurring microbes (Trap & Treat® Bacteria Concentrate) is added to speed up the remediation process. BOS 200® eats through pollution without eating through budget or wasting precious time. Quick property transfers and reduced liability are just a few of the fringe benefits of BOS 200®, which is known for its safety, ease of use, and protection of surrounding property.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How is Trap & Treat® BOS 100® made? What is its chemistry? During manufacturing of BOS 100®, granular activated carbon is impregnated with an iron salt and heated to a high temperature to create a highly active and extensive metallic iron surface area within the activated carbon granules. BOS 100® works approximately 50 times faster than conventional iron products used for treatment of chlorinated solvents.

How does Trap & Treat® BOS 100® work? BOS 100® (for chemical solvent contamination) traps subsurface contamination, soaking it up like a sponge. Once the contaminant is “trapped,” the product “treats” the contaminant and any by-products, quickly degrading them to harmless levels.

How is Trap & Treat® BOS 200® made? What is its chemistry? BOS 200® is a mixture of approximately 80 percent powdered or granulated activated carbon which is combined with a blend of sulfate reduction material and micronutrients at the factory. When the product is used, a proprietary mixture of naturally occurring microbes (Trap & Treat® Bacteria Concentrate) specially formulated for use with BOS 200® is added to speed up the remediation process.

How does Trap & Treat® BOS 200® work? BOS 200® (for petroleum contamination) traps subsurface contamination, soaking it up like a sponge. Once the contaminant is “trapped,” the remediation ingredients immediately begin to degrade the contamination. This “treatment” occurs through a biological process that works with or without the presence of subsurface oxygen.
