RPI Quality Assurance Network

Successful projects require thoughtful project design, and RPI wants every project that uses its products to achieve client goals and obtain long-term success.  To this end, RPI has designated Approved Installers dedicated to the effective design and installation of its Trap and Treat® products.

Better in situ remediation results rely on three basic principles:

  • an understanding of the horizontal and vertical extent distribution of speciated contamination (including saturated soils) based on recent laboratory data;
  • good project design based on this knowledge; and
  • quality installation that follows procedures advocated by the RPI-Group.

These basic principles can ensure better results for any in situ product…but when combined with Trap & Treat® products, in our experience you will meet project goals 95% of the time.

What is the RPI-Group Quality Assurance Center?

Supplemental soil and groundwater data is a crucial element of successful Trap & Treat® installations.  To that end, RPI has expanded its R&D laboratory in Golden, Colorado to provide analytical support for RPI-Group projects in America and beyond.  Learn more here.

Can my injection company participate in the network?

Yes.  RPI has authorized AST Environmental and Alpine Remediation to cultivate and train new installers across the United States and abroad.  Our distributor/trainers continue injection operations in their local areas, but have expanded their business models to incorporate training and product sales to new Trap & Treat® installers.

Once your company has been trained and has successfully completed four (4) Trap & Treat® projects, you will be designated as an “Approved Installer” (BOS 200® only or both products, depending on your available equipment and experience) and be listed on the RPI, Alpine Remediation, and AST Environmental websites.  During training and after your Approved Installer designation, you will purchase Trap & Treat® products directly from the RPI-Group member that trained your personnel.

To become an Approved Installer, please contact the trainer/distributor in your area:

East of the Mississippi

  • AST Environmental: Duane Guilfoil – 859.846.4900

Can my environmental consulting firm participate in the network?

Yes; many Trap & Treat® projects originate from the consulting community.

The RPI-Group has developed a Trap & Treat® curriculum specifically designed for environmental consultants.  Small or large consulting firms who participate in the training will be designated as “Certified Trap & Treat® Consultants.”

Because of the wide variety of business situations and contract vehicles, Certified Trap & Treat® Consultants have the flexibility to purchase Trap & Treat® products directly from RPI-Group members.  Consultants who do not wish to participate in the training are welcome as customers, but we ask that you purchase Trap & Treat® products from Approved Installers so that you will have some exposure to the key elements of successful Trap & Treat® projects.  As members of the network, Certified Trap & Treat® Consultants may be listed on the RPI, Alpine Remediation, and AST Environmental websites.

To become a Certified Trap & Treat® Consultant, contact Bob Elliott at 303.487.1001 or click here to fill out a contact form.

I am an environmental regulator.  Can I participate in the network?

Absolutely.  With expanded use of Trap & Treat® products in Corrective Action Plans, it is extremely important that environmental authorities be equipped with the tools necessary to evaluate injection plans for BOS 100® or BOS 200®.  A curriculum similar to the Certified Trap & Treat® Consultant curriculum is available for regulatory agencies.

RPI-Group is motivated to personally visit as many regulatory agencies/departments as possible.  The concepts that we teach will enhance your ability to analyze in situ remediation projects in general and Trap & Treat® products specifically.  For more information on the Trap & Treat® Training Program for environmental regulators, contact Scott Noland at 303.487.1001, or click here to fill out a contact form.
