Bioaugmentation? What microbes are you injecting?

I read in the news that there is a salmonella outbreak in fresh onions. In July it was a listeria outbreak associated with chicken. Prior to that, it was spinach. Microbes are ubiquitous. Growing them is not magic. Growing the particular microbes you want is science. We’ve certainly seen microbes brewed in large non-sterile plastic tanks. We know that those same microbes are injected into the groundwater without species verification. It’s wicked scary out there in the land of bioaugmentation!

You don’t have to live in fear. The microbes used in the BOS family of products are grown in sterile stainless steel reactors. The water is pure pharmaceutical-grade water. And each batch is examined for pathogens by polymerase chain reaction (PCR).

Avoid the witch’s brew and the liability curse, know what you’re injecting into the groundwater!
